James Black serves as Chief Executive Officer of Apollo & Rose Capital, where he leads the firm’s strategic vision and operations with a focus on empowering plaintiffs through accessible pre-settlement funding. With extensive experience in finance, litigation support, and capital management, James is committed to ensuring that individuals pursuing justice have the financial stability necessary to see their cases through without undue pressure.
Prior to leading Apollo & Rose Capital, James spent more than two decades in financial services as a business consultant advising high-growth startups and emerging companies. During this time, he played a key role in structuring and executing multiple Series fundraising rounds, helping companies secure strategic investment to scale their operations. Over the course of his 22-year career, James has overseen and helped manage transactions and capital deployments exceeding $13 billion, bringing disciplined financial strategy and capital expertise to every venture he supports.

Athena Nguyen serves as Chief Financial Officer of Apollo & Rose Capital, where she oversees the firm’s financial strategy, capital management, and operational finance functions.
Athena is recognized for her ability to translate complex financial data into strategic insights that strengthen operational performance and long-term growth. She works closely with the executive team to structure funding solutions that balance financial integrity with the firm’s mission of supporting plaintiffs through the litigation process.

Dr. Andrew Roach Sr. is a former professional athlete whose career evolved into a distinguished path in law, public policy, and executive leadership. Holding a Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. in Law , Policy, and Public Administration, he has dedicated his work to advancing Law, Public Administration, Public Policies, and Principled Governance.
Throughout his career, Dr. Roach has served the legal community and multiple global industries—including transportation, clean technology, oil and gas, real estate and media—bringing strategic insight and disciplined leadership to every role. His experience reflects a rare combination of competitive excellence, academic achievement, and a commitment to advancing justice and responsible enterprise.

With over 26 years of professional legal practice, Bill brings extensive experience in civil litigation, legal compliance, and complex legal strategy. He ensures that the company’s funding solutions operate within the highest legal and ethical standards while supporting plaintiffs and their counsel throughout the litigation process.
His seasoned perspective allows Apollo & Rose Capital to navigate the legal landscape with confidence, balancing disciplined risk management with the firm’s mission of empowering plaintiffs to pursue justice without financial pressure. Bill earned his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law, where he built the legal foundation that continues to guide his advisory work for financial and litigation-focused organizations.
